In the third quarter of 2022, local advertising spending reached 7.5 billion dollars, with a 4% yearly increase. Meanwhile, social media advertising spending also increased by 12%. In the third quarter, Facebook and Instagram advertising spending saw yearly increases of 4% and 41% respectively. For businesses, more advertising means more opportunities for growth. But for consumers, what is the impact of online advertising on their daily lives?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We collaborated with AIM &#8211; Hong Kong Association of Interactive Marketing, and focus on online big data from November 2021 to December 2022, to analyze netizens&#8217; discussions on online advertising from major social media and online news.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Key Findings as follows:<br \/>\n1. Discussion on the 8 major concerns about online advertising<br \/>\n2. Which ad type has the most negative attitude?<br \/>\n3. Are KOL and testimonials the most effective promotional elements?<br \/>\n4.
